Arrived in Madrid at about 10:15 AM
Madrid-Barajas Airport:
*The best looking airport I've ever been to :)
Andrew and I took a taxi to our hotel:
After unpacking we made our way to Plaza Mayor:
*A temporary building was in the plaza to display Spanish collectibles...
More walking led to Puerta Del Sol where there are protesters camping out.
Andrew and I had a light 'lunch' at La Mallorquina.

After walking around all day Andrew suggested eating a really nice dinner out. We went back at the hotel to change and freshen up. Later that night we walked back to the Plaza Mayor (after not being able to get into Botin) and ate at El Soportal.
And guess what....
Andrew proposed!!!! :)
Right after the proposal a street vendor sold us hats and a fake rose:
